HaloPSA

The PSA system we use to run our entire business. The largest distributor of Halo in the Nordics since 2019.

Automation

HaloPSA is a complete Professional Services Automation (PSA) system for IT service providers and MSPs. The platform consolidates your entire business into one tool—service desk, agreements, time tracking, billing, projects, and reporting—instead of using four systems that barely communicate with each other.

The difference compared to a standard ticketing system is that HaloPSA knows the value of every hour. A ticket carries customer, agreement, pricing, and time data all the way to the invoice line. That is why you can see profitability per customer instead of having to guess.

We run our entire business in HaloPSA

This isn't just a product we’ve read up on. MSP Nordics runs its entire business in HaloPSA—our service desk, our agreements, our time tracking, and our billing.

This means we have encountered the same things you will encounter. We know which configurations hold up as your customer base grows, where agreement models tend to clash with reality, and which automations actually save time—as opposed to those that just look good in a demo.

When you ask us how something works in a real-world scenario, you get an answer from someone who did it this morning.

Why Nordic MSPs choose HaloPSA

Everything is included. No module price lists and no extra fees when you want to start using project management or quoting workflows. The functionality is there from the start.

You configure it yourselves. Agreement types, price lists, workflows, and portals are built by your own staff. You don't need to book consultant hours just to add a field.

From ticket to invoice without detours. Time is logged on the ticket, priced against the agreement, and becomes an invoice line. No exports to Excel, no manual reconciliation at the end of the month.

Profitability per customer, not just revenue. You see which customers are profitable and which are eating into your margins—before the agreement is up for renegotiation, not after.

Multi-tenant from the ground up. Each customer gets their own portal, their own SLAs, and their own agreement structure, but everything is managed from the same view.

Features in HaloPSA

Ticketing and service desk. Omnichannel via email, customer portal, phone, chat, and Microsoft Teams. Automatic categorization and assignment based on customer, agreement, and priority.

Agreement and pricing management. Fixed-price agreements, time and material, hour banks, block agreements, and recurring services in a single model. Different price lists per customer, service, and time of day.

Time tracking. Time is logged directly to the ticket or project, using a timer or manual entry. Billable and non-billable time are automatically separated based on the agreement.

Invoicing. Invoice documentation is generated from time, agreements, licenses, and recurring services. Recurring invoicing runs on a schedule, and discrepancies are flagged before they are sent to the customer.

Quotes and sales. Quotes are built from product catalogs and price lists, approved digitally by the customer, and converted into orders without any manual data entry.

Project management. Phases, milestones, budget, and resource planning. Project time flows into the same invoicing process as all other time.

Asset and contract management. Hardware, licenses, warranties, and renewal dates per customer. You get a reminder before a license renews automatically – not after.

Customer portal. White-labeled portal where customers report issues, track status, view their assets, and approve quotes. A noticeable difference in the perceived professionalism of your delivery.

Reporting and dashboards. Profitability per customer and agreement, utilization rate per technician, SLA compliance, and ticket volume over time. Data that stands up to scrutiny in the boardroom.

Integrations – including Swedish accounting systems

This is the question most Nordic MSPs ask first, and one that international providers rarely have a good answer for.

HaloPSA integrates with Fortnox, Visma, and Pyramid ERP. Invoice documentation is generated in HaloPSA and transferred to your accounting system without any manual entry. That is the difference between a full day of billing each month and just half an hour.

In addition, there are integrations with RMM and security tools such as NinjaOne, Hudu, SentinelOne, ThreatLocker, Huntress, Keeper, NAKIVO, and MSP360, as well as Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Teams, Azure DevOps, and Jira. Monitoring alerts automatically become tickets, with the correct customer and agreement in place from the start.

If you need something that isn't available out of the box, there is an open REST API. We have built such solutions for ourselves and can build them for you.

HaloPSA or HaloITSM – which one is right for you?

It is the most common question we get, and the difference is simpler than many think.

HaloPSA is for those of you who provide IT services to external customers who pay by invoice. The focus is on agreements, time, billing, and profitability per customer.

HaloITSM is for internal IT departments that provide services to their own organization. The focus is on ITIL processes, internal SLA tracking, and service catalogs.

Do you invoice for your work? Choose HaloPSA. Do you not? Choose HaloITSM. We sell both and have no reason to steer you in the wrong direction.

Why choose MSP Nordics as your partner?

Halo is sold by many. Distributed by few. And no one in the Nordics has been doing it as long as we have.

Halo launched its product suite in 2019. That same year, MSP Nordics became a distributor in the Nordic region. Today, we are the region's largest distributor of the platform, authorized for Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland, and appointed by Halo as a Specialist Partner.

For you as an MSP, this means:

  • We use the system ourselves. Seven years of HaloPSA in live operation within our own business. We have made the mistakes so you don't have to.
  • We understand the MSP business, not just the software. Agreement models, pricing structures, and utilization rates are our own daily challenges as well.
  • We handle the entire migration. Customers, agreements, assets, ticket history, and price lists.
  • We are in your time zone. Support in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and English.
  • We provide licensing advice. The right number of agents from the start. It’s cheaper to think ahead.

Are you switching from another PSA system?

Most MSPs who reach out to us are already using something. Here is what they usually tell us.

From Autotask it’s usually about licensing costs relative to the value, and how the packaging dictates more than they would like.

From ConnectWise PSA about complexity and how much work every configuration change requires.

From Datto PSA about price trends and the dependency on a single vendor’s suite of tools.

From Jira about the tool being built for development rather than customer delivery – contracts, time tracking, and billing are missing where the business happens.

From custom-built solutions and Excel about how it worked fine up to a certain size, and then stopped. Often somewhere around twenty customers.

We take full responsibility for the migration: customers, contacts, contracts, price lists, assets, and ticket history. A test migration first, verification together with you, then the live transition. If needed, we run in parallel for a period so that no billing falls through the cracks.

How an implementation works

Needs analysis. We review your business model, contract types, customer base, and tool stack. Free of charge.

Demo in your context. We demonstrate the system based on your agreements and workflows, not a generic environment.

Test environment. Thirty-day free trial with all modules enabled.

Configuration. Contract models, price lists, SLAs, customer portal, automations, and integrations with RMM and accounting systems.

Migration. Data is moved from your current system, starting with a test migration and verification.

Training and onboarding. Training for technicians and administrators, followed by ongoing support and further development.

A smaller MSP can be up and running in a few weeks. A larger organization with complex agreements, many integrations, and historical data to migrate typically takes two to three months.

Frequently asked questions about HaloPSA

How much does HaloPSA cost?
Licensing is per agent, meaning per person working in the system. Your customers are free of charge. The price depends on the number of agents and the contract length. Get in touch for a concrete quote, not a price range.

Can HaloPSA be integrated with Fortnox or Visma?
Yes. HaloPSA can be integrated with Fortnox, Visma, and Pyramid ERP so that billing data is transferred without manual entry. We assist with the setup.

Do MSP Nordics use HaloPSA themselves?
Yes, our entire business runs on the system – service desk, agreements, time tracking, and invoicing. That is also why we can answer how things work in practice, not just in a demo environment.

Is HaloPSA available in Swedish?
Yes, and the customer portal can be set up in multiple languages simultaneously – convenient if you have customers in several Nordic countries.

Where is the data stored?
HaloPSA can be hosted within the EU, in your own cloud environment on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, or entirely on-premise.

How long does a migration from Autotask or ConnectWise take?
Typically six to twelve weeks, depending on the volume of data, number of contracts, and integrations. The mapping process takes the longest – the actual migration is fast.

Are contracts and price lists included in the migration?
Yes. Customers, contacts, contracts, price lists, assets, and ticket history are all migrated. We will work with you to determine how far back it makes sense to go.

Can we test it before we decide?
Yes. We offer a 30-day free trial environment with all modules enabled. We can import a sample of your actual data so you can evaluate it against real-world scenarios.
